The Innovation Agenda

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and a collective approach is needed to successfully address the barriers to innovation. FasterCures created The Innovation Agenda, an action plan to support organizations pursuing innovation in disease research.

• Create a network to accelerate innovative disease research
• Promote electronic health record and biological material databases that are readily available for research
• Create information technology platforms that support innovative research
• Share case studies of successes and failures in novel disease research approaches
• Promote new open source approaches to intellectual property in biomedical research
• Create a guide for best approaches to selecting, funding, and reviewing scientific research
• Promote coalitions, mergers, and joint ventures among disease groups to leverage resources and efforts
• Host regular information exchanges between disease research groups and targeted audiences to continue the innovation discussion and support The Innovation Agenda
